Avery Beall, MA

PSYCHOTHERAPIST AND SUBSTANCE USE COUNSELOR IN CHICAGO, IL
You may be the person everyone else depends on while quietly feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected yourself. Do you replay conversations after they’ve ended or find it easier to care for everyone else than yourself? Maybe you can’t quiet your mind even when everything seems “fine.” Whether you’re adjusting to a new city, starting your career, navigating changing relationships, or facing a major life transition, you don’t have to go through it alone. Together, we can explore what’s keeping you stuck and create meaningful, lasting change.
I believe each person has the capacity to heal, grow, and create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space to explore the experiences, beliefs, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck. In session, we will build self-awareness, resilience, and practical tools to help you move forward with confidence.
I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, perfectionism, people-pleasing, low self-esteem, life transitions, and trauma. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative, integrating CBT, ACT, existential therapy, mindfulness, and somatic approaches to support lasting change.
